"Bridging the gap of health inequalities"
We at Flourish International share the view that healthy citizens are priceless assets of any nation as they impact on the overall productivity. However, there remain in our communities profound situation of health inequalities with the urgent need to bridge the gap. In effect our UK based community orientated not-for-profit organisation is developing partnerships with African based NGO's as well as community leaders in piloting Primary Healthcare projects that will provide quality, effective and efficient healthcare services to disadvantaged members of the community.
In this regard, we hereby solicit your support in sponsoring this pilot project in cash and/or in-kind.

NAIJA 2000
Project Brief
To pilot the setting up of a primary healthcare centres in deprived communities in Nigeria
The communities identified for this pilot are Ipaja and Agbowa local government areas in Lagos state, Nigeria.
The centres will be known as; Flourish Primary Health Care Centres.
The project will be launched in November 2010
Three permanent team members will be employed to run the centre on a day to day basis.
The team members will consist of a qualified medical Doctor, a Matron and a Nurse.
The centres will also access the services of 20 others within the healthcare profession in Nigeria who will volunteer on a regular basis.
Flourish International will facilitate a foreign based scheme that will enable health practitioners based in the UK to spend some time on the project in Nigeria offering primary healthcare services on a volunteer basis.
Following the success of this pilot, more centres will open in other deprived communities in Nigeria.

It will interest you to know that we have the unreserved consent of the Kings of the said communities and we have been offered premises for the project. We aim to formerly launch the project in November 2010 and to achieve this, we need finance to buy some equipment, resource materials as well as engage three paid team members (i.e Medical Doctor, Matron and Nurse) who will deliver day -to-day activities within the centres. It is estimated that a total sum of 10 Million Naira (Approx. £40,000) will be needed in delivering this project in the first year and we shall be grateful for whatever generous donation you can give in this regard.
GHANA 2000

The Ghana 2000 project will pilot the setting up of primary healthcare service in deprived communities known as Ashaiman and Fadama in Ghana, West Africa. Following the success of the pilot the services will be delivered in all the regions in Ghana. The centre will be known as: Flourish Primary Healthcare Centre and it will be launched in December 2010.
Aims:
To bridge the gap of health inequalities by providing quality,

To enable over 11,200 disadvantaged community members to access
healthcare services they would otherwise be denied in a given year.
To develop social enterprises delivering healthcare services within
disadvantaged communities.
To facilitate volunteering opportunities suited for local and foreign
healthcare professionals.
To raise awareness on issues around health and healthy living within
deprived communities.
To bridge the gap of health inequalities by providing quality,

Zimbabwe 2000
Make someone H.A.P.P.Y
Flourish International is working with Women of Wisdom CIC in supporting disadvantaged people especially children, young people and women in deprived communities in Zimbabwe and we will appreciate your support in providing new and/or used items as well as cash to foster the success of this initiative. The items will be shipped to Zimbabwe using the cash sum received during this process.
Items required includes (but not limited to)
• Books and Stationeries for children and young people
• Toys and play equipment (no violence related toys e.g guns)
• Shoes and Bags
• Light/ suitable Clothing ( No heavy coats due to hot weather conditions)
